At Fremaux Dental Care, we’re happy to let you know that wearing a mouthful of metal braces for years on end isn’t the only way to achieve the results you want – MTM® Clear•Aligner are available as well! This orthodontic option utilizes clear plastic aligners instead of the traditional brackets and wires allowing patients to keep their treatment subtle as teeth are moved towards their correct positions. Most cases are completed in just 8-18 months!
Just like the name implies, Six Month Smiles is an excellent method for straightening teeth in an accelerated timeframe. Instead of the traditional, noticeable metal wires and brackets you’re used to seeing with braces, this treatment actually relies on clear brackets and tooth-colored wires that have a much more subtle appearance overall, allowing you to maintain your self-confidence. You’ll visit our Slidell office every four or five weeks for a brief check-up and adjustment, and before you know it, you’ll be enjoying a much more pleasing appearance overall.
Invisalign’s series of clear, plastic trays align teeth into the desired positions. This less noticeable orthodontics option also provides a more comfortable and shorter amount of time than the standard metal bracket and wire options. This service is ideal for over, under, and crossbites as well as spacing, crowding, and crooked alignments.
SEDATION DENTISTRY
Fear of the dentist is a common dilemma among patients of all ages. If the feelings are severe enough, it can even result in skipped appointments and worsening dental problems. That’s why we offer several sedation dentistry services that induce relaxation and help you remain at ease as we work on your smile.
For patients with mild to moderate dental-related anxiety, Dr. Beard offers both nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation as possible solutions. Nitrous oxide is a gas that’s administered through a nasal mask and wears off quickly after your procedure is finished. Oral conscious sedation involves medication that’s taken at a specific point before your appointment and allows you to nod off and not remember anything about your treatment method. If the patient is in need of stronger results, we can provide IV sedation, which creates such a strong level of relaxation that also allows patients to nod off and/or not remember anything about their treatment afterward.
Same-day teeth whitening offered in our office! Zoom! Whitening provides customers with a fast, safe, and professional whitening service. Customers typically experience an improvement of six to ten shades whiter by the time they complete one visit to the office!
SLEEP APNEA TREATMENT
When you’re diagnosed with sleep apnea, you may turn to your general doctor or a specialist in the field – but what about your dentist? We actually provide a great alternative to the traditional CPAP machine in the form of a customized oral appliance. By wearing this device at night, sleep apnea patients slightly reposition their jaw and/or tongue allowing their airway to stay clear throughout the night so they enjoy the uninterrupted rest they deserve.
DIGITAL X-RAYS
There’s a lot going on underneath the surface of your smile, and X-rays are vital in helping our Slidell dental team find and diagnose potential concerns there. Instead of traditional film, Dr. Beard has invested in digital radiography for faster, safer, and much more detailed results. Instead of having to develop the images of your smile in a darkroom, this technology allows our team to transfer them instantly to our computer system; we can even color-code and magnify certain areas to promote patient education. Better yet, radiation exposure is reduced up to 90%.
